OUGD501 - Studio Brief 2 - A1 Poster - Colour Wheel Production

Producing the Wheel Template

I started the colour wheel of logos by creating a colour wheel myself, to use as a second reference layer. I intend on fitting the logos on top of the colour they fit into (hopefully making them entirely camouflage), then remove the colour wheel.

Setting up an A1 document:

I used colours of an existing wheel to aid getting the colours right. I then hid the area in white, so I knew not to do it again.

Placing Logos On The Wheel

Having researched into the top 250 brands (and collecting images of the logos), I was ready to construct a colour wheel out of them.

The process:

I placed the image of the logo into illustrator, and image traced the shape. I then used this vector in the colour wheel, meaning the file would be a smaller size.

I began to enlarge the logos in areas which had a lot of space, filling the colour wheel better.
