How To Survive Freshers Flu

Survival Kits

I chose to look at other packaged "kits" used for emergencies.

A Mexican advertising company called Menosunocerouno have produced a kit that is for the supposed "End of the World", predicted to happen on the 21st of December this year, according to the Mayan calendar.

Branded as the "Just In Case" kit, the box contains the essentials one would need if apocalypse does strike us.

I find this kit truly inspiring. The simple colour scheme brings all the items together as a brand. The infographics are clear and understanding, as well as the crisp labelling.

When producing my kit, I hope to replicate the simplicity and continuity that this product does.

Sennheiser Earphone Packaging

If I had longer on the project (as well as having more experience in print), I would have loved to have printed directly onto cardboard.

These Sennheiser headphones are packaged in 100% recycled cardboard, much better than the impossible to open plastic cases they are normally wrapped up in.

I also really like the way the headphones fit inside the pack, and I would have loved to fit my products for my kit in an organised fashion like the wires have been hidden away in the image below.

Jurlique Packaging

"Jurlique" , a skin care company, have produced some truly inspiring packaging here. I know that I intended to produce a box to fit my products in, but I really like this idea. Why not utilise the empty space inside a box to your advantage?

As the company is all about being "natural", using sustainable packaging that seems to blossom like a flower really does suit it.

In the near future, I would like to learn different folding techniques for packaging. I feel the interactive quality of it adds to the fun of opening your new purchase or gift, and can really modify your first glimpse of the product.
